Terms and Conditions

Last updated 3 November 2026

Plain language summary

Use this site and its resources in good faith. The toolkit is free and you are welcome to use it. Do not reproduce the campaign materials as your own. Do not feed campaign materials into AI systems for commercial purposes. Your card is yours, and what you share with an organisation is for that organisation to act on, not to pass around. Donations go to Aurum Foundation and are not refunded. Shop orders are handled by Fourthwall under its own terms. If something goes wrong, contact us at [email protected] and we will sort it out.

Our commitment

These terms govern a campaign built by and for autistic people. The rules on this page are written in the same spirit as everything else we do: clearly, without jargon, and with the community at the centre. If anything here is unclear or creates a barrier, tell us and we will fix it.

1. Who we are

In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Aurum Foundation Ltd (ABN 39 680 160 570), the Australian charity that runs autisticprideday.org and neurodiversityday.org, and Just Gold, the Australian social enterprise that designs and builds them. Our website address is https://autisticprideday.org.

2. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using these websites, downloading the toolkit, creating an account, donating or buying from the shop, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

3. Use of this site

You may use this site for personal, organisational, and professional purposes consistent with the campaign’s intent. You may not use this site or its content to misrepresent the campaign, the organisation, or the autistic community. You may not scrape, reproduce, or republish campaign materials without written permission.

4. The toolkit

The Autistic Pride Day toolkit is made available free of charge. It is licensed for use by individuals, organisations, schools, workplaces, and government bodies for the purpose of marking Autistic Pride Day and advancing autistic inclusion. It may not be sold, repackaged, or distributed as your own work. Attribution to Autistic Pride Day and Aurum Foundation is required when the toolkit is used publicly.

Campaign materials, including toolkit content, may not be used to train, fine tune, or otherwise feed commercial artificial intelligence systems without written permission from Aurum Foundation. Non commercial and personal use does not require permission. If you are unsure whether your intended use qualifies, contact us before proceeding.

5. Your account

Membership is free for individuals. You sign in with a one time code sent to your email, or with your Apple, Google, Microsoft or Facebook account. We never hold a password. To join you give us your first name, surname, date of birth, country and state or region, and they must be your own and true. One person, one account. You are responsible for keeping access to the email address or provider account you sign in with. We may close an account that is used to misrepresent the campaign, to harm another member, or in a way inconsistent with these terms. You must be 16 or older to hold an account.

Nobody needs a diagnosis to take part, to learn or to be counted, and we will never ask for one.

6. Your card, the Register and what organisations may do

Your card belongs to you. It is private until you share it with an organisation on the Commitment Register, and you can stop sharing it or remove it at any time.

An organisation that receives a card may use it only to act on what the member asked for. It may not copy it, pass it to anyone outside the people who need it to act, use it in any decision about hiring, discipline, grades or access to a service against the member’s interest, or keep it after the member has withdrawn it. An organisation on the Commitment Register agrees to report each year against what it committed to, and accepts that its commitment, its reports and its reporting status are public. We may remove an organisation from the Register for breaching these terms.

Members may answer one question each year about whether they got what they asked for. Answers are counted and never shown with a name.

7. Learning

The learning at autisticprideday.org/learn, including The Autistic Standard, is available to signed in members. Course content is the intellectual property of Aurum Foundation and may be used for your own learning or, under an organisational licence, for the people that licence covers. It may not be copied, resold or used to build a commercial product or service. Every tier is free to open. If you or your organisation can pay, we suggest a yearly donation to Aurum Foundation by size, from $99 for one person to $1,999 for a large organisation or government. These terms apply whatever is paid, or if nothing is paid.

8. Donations

Donations are made to Aurum Foundation Ltd, a registered Australian charity with deductible gift recipient status, and are processed securely through Stripe. We email a receipt for every donation. Donations of two dollars or more are tax deductible in Australia. Donations fund the campaign and are not refunded. If you believe a donation was made in error, contact us at [email protected] within 14 days and we will look at it. Learning licences, shop purchases and conference tickets are not donations and are not tax deductible.

9. The shop

The shop is run by Aurum Foundation on Fourthwall, which makes, sells and ships the products and takes payment. When you check out you are buying from Fourthwall’s platform under its terms of sale, including delivery, returns and refunds. A purchase is not a donation. Questions about an order go first to the contact in your order email, and you can always write to us as well.

10. Intellectual property

All campaign materials, copy, design, and branding on this site are the intellectual property of Aurum Foundation and Just Gold. The Autistic Pride Day name, logo, and visual identity are protected. Unauthorised use is not permitted. Anything you post to the site, such as a page update, a story or a team name, stays yours; you give us permission to show it in the ways you chose when you posted it, and you can take it down at any time.

11. Accessibility

Accessibility is not an afterthought on this site. It is a standard. We are committed to meeting WCAG 2.2 AA across all pages and resources, with AAA contrast for text. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, contact us at [email protected] and we will address it within five business days. We treat accessibility complaints with the same priority as any other critical site issue. Our Accessibility Statement says how we test and what we know is not yet right.

12. International users

This campaign operates across 22 countries. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. If you are accessing this site from outside Australia, you are responsible for ensuring your use complies with local laws. For users in the European Union, we comply with GDPR. For users in the United Kingdom, we comply with the UK GDPR. If a dispute arises and cannot be resolved through direct communication, we will seek mediation before pursuing formal legal action, regardless of jurisdiction.

13. Limitation of liability

We make every effort to ensure the information on this site is accurate and up to date. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or reliance on its content. External links are provided for convenience and we are not responsible for the content of third party sites.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date on this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. For material changes we will notify members by email.

15. Contact

For any questions about these terms, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within five business days.
