What the campaign asks for

Autistic Pride Day is on 18 June. It is a year round campaign run by autistic people in 22 countries. We tell the places we work and learn what our brains need, then hold them to it.

Nobody needs a diagnosis to take part. The campaign asks governments, employers and institutions to take six actions.

The six actions

Make the process accessible before you invite us in.

Hire for the skill, not the performance of the skill.

Fund autistic led organisations, not just programs about us.

Measure whether people are okay, not whether they comply.

Pay us to design it, not just to review it.

Publish what you actually did, not what you intended.

Choose a first step

Make your card: what helps you and what gets in the way. Your card is yours, and you choose who sees it.

Invite your organisation to act on the cards people share and make a public commitment on the Register.

Find an event or add your own. Start Tier 1 of The Autistic Standard, which is free.
